Nevada County, Site 3

This site is located on a ridgeline and offers stunning views of a nearby valley and the surrounding mountains.

The site contains 45 images. Gray patches of lichen, which are slowly obscuring many of the region's petroglyphs, are visible in several of the photos.

Among the images are bear paw motifs. While depicted in a variety of styles, bear paw designs are among the most common symbols found in Martis petroglyphs.

Also visible is a human figure. Human forms are relatively uncommon and are typically rendered as simple "stick figures," as shown in this example.
